Shakespeare's Sunday School

Discover more about Shakespeare's work, life and times in our bonus talks. A different topic each week from the following:

Dig Deeper: learn all about the finds from our 2010-2014 archaeological dig, and handle some of the objects we unearthed.

All the world's a screen: a perfect introduction to Shakespeare on film

Draw the Model: understand the exterior and interior design of New Place as you are guided around our 3D model

Shakespeare's Skyline: a closer look at the buildings known to Shakespeare that surround New Place

Poem Unlimited: a fun examination of the poems that made Shakespeare's reputation

High Fantastical: science fiction owes a lot to Shakespeare.

Talks run at 15-20 minutes and will take place upstairs in the Rosconn Learning Rooms. Attendance is strictly limited to 25 people per talk (first come, first served).
