You are here: About the Town Management Partnership
The Town Management Partnership was formally established in October 2003 in recognition of the need to have an independent organisation working for the interest of the Town. The Partnership's ambition is to continually promote the image of Stratford-upon-Avon for new and existing uses and encourage the central area to act as the focus of civic pride.
In November 2003, the Partnership employed Andrew Cooper (click to open in new window) as the town manager.
Andrew is a member of the Association of Town Centre Managers (click to open in new window) which is a vital organisation in disseminating vital information on the development and implementation of town centre management issues including policy statements and examples of good practice.
Much of the Partnership's work is undertaken by sub groups made up of members who have a particular interest in that area e.g. Transport, Tourism, Retail and Business and Enterprise.

Each sub group has its own terms of reference and makes proposals to the partnership on initiatives and funding. This forms our action plan in taking these issues forward.
