41 Shakespeare Street

41 Shakespeare Street is the perfect holiday home for your stay in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The charming Grade-II listed period cottage dates from 1840 and is in the heart of the riverside town, a short walk from favourite attractions, shops, cafes and pubs. Given its age and location, the cottage may surprise you with some of its features, like three spacious bedrooms that can sleep up to six people and off-street parking. It's central yet quiet, the perfect holiday cottage for families with space and convenience they need to not only immerse themselves in the delights of this historic town but also to access the wonderful sights in surrounding Warwickshire.

Most visitors to Stratford-Upon-Avon have at least a passing interest in its most famous son's, William Shakespeare. The Bard was born in a house only a few hundred metres from the cottage. Other Shakespeare attractions within a short stroll are the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre, Holy Trinity Church and Shakespeare's grave, Shakespeare's Schoolroom and Guildhall, and Hall's Croft, Shakespeare's daughter's home. You can also walk to the MAD (Mechanical, Art & Design) Museum, Stratford Butterfly Farm, and Tudor World.

Guests have easy access to the Stratford-Upon-Avon Canal, making sense as the cottage was originally a home for canal workers. A five-minute stroll in one direction takes you to the heart of the town and the River Avon, while a short walk the other way sees you walking through beautiful countryside. Day trips can include exploring Warwick and the much-haunted Warwick Castle, 10 miles away; or shopping in Royal Leamington Spa, just 12 miles from the cottage. Chipping Campden, Broadway, and other favourite Cotswolds towns are also 12 miles away and easily reached in under 30 minutes.

41 Shakespeare Street is available for bookings all year round. For many fans of Shakespeare, it's a pilgrimage they may only make once in their lifetime. However, you don't have to love history or Shakespeare to enjoy this welcoming town with its lovely riverside location, beautiful views, and location convenient for exploring Warwickshire and the north Cotswolds.
